June and July 2019

Rachel gone feral.
Rachel's dance concert theme was In the Jungle.
All the girls looked wild.

Rachel loves her teacher Sandra.
After the recital Rachel left for her 4th year of Girls Camp in Snowflake. Sarah was relieved she didn't have to go. Adam and Sarah had lots of fun at home together, like during this epic pillow fight.
Pause for breath. Truce?
Sarah got Boingy Mole removed.
Tyler decided all of a sudden to apply for a judge position, the process was long, tedious and painful. His hair says it all.
If you notice the clock in the background, Rachel taped up dancing silhouettes. They were left over from a big year end ancestry report she did about Grandma Cole being a dancer on the Lawrence Welk Show. She showed her class the old footage and of course everyone loved it! The boys were even yelling out, "Your Grandma's hot!"
Rachel got home from camp and we headed out for the Palmer Family Reunion.
The crew.
Playing Acquire
My boys are in their element.
Rachel sneaks onto the back porch to read.
We went for a walk.
The stream was rushing with snowmelt.

Beautiful girl in the Sunset.
Last year at this same stream was mild and fun to play in. That rope swing was out of the water and the water was clean and clear. We had such fun with Kaia.
Matching Jammies!
While we were at the Palmer reunion, Sarah stayed with Grandma Cole, went to the opera, did some medical tests, and spent time to get acquainted with Hannah before school starts. Hannah is a Resident Assistant and they plan to be housemates in private rooms.
Next we headed to Phoenix for Tyler's law conference.
We sequestered a cabana to lounge in.
Ahh
Snuggles

The upside down competition, Sarah is looking pretty graceful.
Oooh, Ahh
Tyler's not so graceful, but adept attempt.

Huh?
Hello
Soak up that Phoenix Sun
You could order food at that snack bar and have them bring it to you. We didn't, but some people did. Inside the glass along where Rachel is walking leads to the lobby and there is more glass where she is headed to an indoor heated lap pool. A very nice facility and not many people there to share it with, made this a very relaxing stay.
Las Vegas temple with my sweetheart
Adam needed a tooth pulled, it took over an hour for Dr. Lindsay to wrangle that baby free. Adam was grateful for Netflix.
Rachel made an Alzheimer's & Dementia Fidget Blanket for a Young Women's project.
Most hideous Thug Bug I've ever seen.
The Personal Progress is 100% Complete!!!
It feels so good to never have to progress personally ever again! Just kidding!
Grandpa sent Adam this $5 because he read Grandpa's Life History, but doesn't qualify for the 12 and up rate of $50 yet. He will just have to read it again next year. As you can see he was very pleased with the little gift.
Adam was trying on new clothes from Rock Elder and got jammin'
Tyler's Young Men came over to learn cooking skills. Adam loves being a part of the older group by default.
They made tacos, ate them, and then...
Played Acquire!
2 days later on my birthday, we sat playing Catan at Aunt Luise's.
Beach days, this little girl loves the beach.

Aunt Luise is a great hostess. She is bravely living on alone and missing her Cowboy.
A happy rainbow on the way home.
My friend Bronwynn invited Adam and I to ride in her plane to Vegas for a cello lesson. Sarah stayed home not feeling well, though she was invited. Rachel stayed at Bronwynn's with Gracie and Kjersti, her honorary little sisters. They love to swim, dance, make music videos, play Barbies and American Girl dolls, do makeovers. All that good stuff.
We each had a headset to communicate with each other because the plane is so loud you can't hear each other, and you need the protection against the noise.

It is a tiny plane. With the cello. We shoved it between the boys in the back and it came up between my head and Bronwynn's.
Jace and Adam in the back before the cello.
awkward
The trip was fine, but very hot and nauseating. There was no A/C. It was all we could to not puke. A private plane always sounds luxurious. Not luxurious.
The next day was Sarah's birthday. We celebrated with rice crispy treats.
Two days later Rachel took to the skies.
The Bednars invited her out for a visit and to join them in their stake youth conference adventure to Nauvoo.
This trip changed so much for Rachel. It buoyed up her testimony and solidified it, and bonded her with her Bednar cousins.
Her first time on a plane, what an adventure. We were a little scared for her travel without a phone, so Fran and I kept in close contact until the handoff was complete.
Eat your heart out boys. Look but don't touch, these ladies are mission bound!

both wearing friendship bracelets from fellow Sister Cousin Sarah Walker, who visited the day they came home from the trip with Josh, Christine and Sam. Rachel was so lucky to see so much family.

We were so happy Rachel could have a wonderful experience and make it home in one piece.
Thanks Bednars!
