November with Las Vegas Trip & Thanksgiving at Disneyland 2017

Sarah and I chillin' on Sunday. The sunglasses are due to the Migraines I come home with after church on Sunday.
November brought us a fun Pack Meeting. Adam's pack made tin foil dinners and had a ceremony around the fire that included war stories that helped us all appreciate the flag and respect it. The boys got to retire an old flag and felt a deeper love for our country.
Our library visit made us laugh when we found this vehicle in the handicapped parking spot. I believe only in Kingman would this happen.
November also brought us a special Grandparent visit. We had a great time with Grandpa Gary and Sybil. The boys enjoyed watching a BYU game.
During the game, the girls snuggled up for a chick flick.
And we all watched Cars 3 together.
November brought Adam an awards ceremony at the School District Office.
He got a perfect score in math on the standardized testing. We love these old Joshua trees outside.
November brought adoption day for our friend Kim who was finally adopted by her grandparents.
It was fun to be a part of the court room and even though Tyler wasn't her attorney, we got to see the kinds of things he does and where.
November brought thankful cards. Our thankful card tradition lives on, and I was thrilled to see this on top of the stack as I cleaned the counter. What a lovely picture of me.
Sarah is trying to have 10 minute lessons, we are discovering her violin is quite big for her in comparison to others. These two were in heaven with all the violins. For now Sarah is going to play 10 min a day with her old violin. It has a smaller cut and is lighter for her recovering arms to support.
November brought Thanksgiving and setting up the tree. We did it a week early because we are spending Thanksgiving Day at Disneyland.
Adam was excited to get to put on the top piece.
Grandma and Grandpa came to Las Vegas resort and we went to stay with them for two nights.
Queen by the Castle.

We visited M&M World.
We watched the 3D movie about losing their M's.
Tyler rockin' the 3D glasses.
Of course this made us think of the Bednars.
Next we visited Hershey World.
Meeting Mr. Bar and Mrs. Kiss
Adam loved the Statue of Liberty made from Twizzler bites. Look how cute the light fixtures are shaped as Reese's cups.
Adam was loving it, because he loves Twizzlers.
At this hotel we waited for our tram and got some Twizzlers in the gift shop for half the price. It paid to go across the street. Rachel and I had fun dancing on the slick floors in a remote area.
Dinner at Denny's. The food was amazing and we were starving from our sight-seeing.
With full bellies we got cozy to watch The Rookie.
Nothing beats snuggling up for a movie between your Mommy and Daddy.
Tyler was riveted by the movie.
Saturday we went to the temple.
Waiting while the girls got ready.
A happy family making family on the other side of the veil happy. Grandma and Adam enjoyed indexing in the family history center, until the girls and the men were done with their baptisms. I was doing Primary work on the phone. Then the adults did Sealings.
Time to Gorge. We ate at a delicious buffet and I got to have all the broccoli I wanted, and Adam all the bacon he wanted.
Grandma attacked the desserts.
Adam's belly gave out on him.
All of us ate to our hearts content.
Especially me, I looked 5 months pregnant!
That night Adam watched cartoons with ice cream and popcorn.
We made a puzzle
and watched another movie.
Sunday morning time to head home so we get back in time for the Primary Program at church.
The kids had 2 days of school while I packed to go...
Back to Disneyland
The Holiday decorations are so fun!

Those snowflakes are made of wrenches, the garland is air filters, the wreath a tire, so clever.
Funny movie posters.
The hubcab tree.
Oh what fun it is!
At Luigi's. They love the tail light flowers.
I spy Kingman!
These cars do such a cute little square dance to different songs. They had Luigi sing traditional Christmas songs infused with clever car related lyrics.
They got the teal one!
Sarah loves Heimlech, because he's German.
Tuck and Roll Bumper Buggies
Adam's on the loose!
At least this one has a permit!
Adam couldn't remember every riding the Heimlech Chew Chew Train, so of course we refreshed his memory. He loved the smell of the animal cookies. Mmm.
It all looks so delicious!
Francis' Lady Bug Boogie
Flik's Flyers. Sarah was really excited she found a cool little gummy Mickey and Minnie that belonged on a keychain probably.
Next we went to Turtle Talk with Crush. They are so funny! Sarah was so sad she lost the cool she found thingy there. Easy come easy go.
In Beast's library Tyler found out he was Marlin, Nemo's Dad.
We got to draw Baymax at Animation Studios.
Time for a romantic carpet ride.
Soarin' over the world!
This guy's ugly Christmas sweater cracked me up!
On to Santa's version of Redwood Creek
Santa's Landing Pad
Look what Santa's bag has for me!
You are never too old to relive childhood memories!
We did the Jumpin' Jellyfish next.
It was gorgeous at night.

During the line we had a great spot to see the mulit-cultural Fiesta. Mickey and Minnie were driven around in these little carts while Brazillian dancers and Mexican Folklorico dancers entertained around a float of Donald and the 3 Caballeros to wish us a Feliz Navidad!
The Folklorico dancers made me reminiscent of the Temple Cultural Celebration when I got to teach all the youth their choreography.
There were giant pinata people cruising around that had creepy faces, I could have done without them, so here one is without the face. Ick.
Tyler and I rode together in the tandem swing on Silly Symphony Swings.
Screamin'
Triton's Merry Go Round

Passing the wharf on our way back to check if the Cars Racers got fixed.
We feel like we live in Radiator Springs because we live in a little town on Route 66.

We always laugh at the Butte Gas.
Yay, they were fixed!
Guardians of the Galaxy
Fran told us to watch for the old Yeti from Matterhorn. I miss him. That new thing is creepy.
Santa flying over Hollywood.
Back to Cars Racers
Why not? It's so beautiful at night.
After taking the tram out to the parking lot we had that long painful walk to the car. We were parked on the very top level, almost at the farthest spot possible. There were only 6 spaces further away than ours! At least the view from the roof of LA at night was lovely for that long walk.
After a good sleep we are back at it! Disney's Main Street is always so fun and festive. We loved the horse's poinsettia adorned main.
Chip! I think Chip and Dale are so cute, but Tyler gets jealous...I think he's going to take Chip down!
The huge famous Christmas tree.
Classic Castle shot in the brutal sun.
To Tomorrowland first! Rachel poses in front of the old original rocket. So much has changed in this land, but that rocket is still here.
Waiting in the lines is fun in this family. These are some of my favorite Disneyland memories. The line is home of Rock Paper Scissors Marathons, making random friends from anywhere, finding Hidden Mickey's, playing Twenty Questions, eating snacks, watching for if "Cody did it" again.
Space Mountain all together!
Small World!
Santa's in there!
I'm going to include these for Fran who missed out on seeing it last month.

The Castle...Christmas-style.
Storyboats. We have been waiting for these!
It looks like my baby is getting eaten!
Agrabah! City of wonders.
Cinderella's French Chatteu.
Her Castle.
They've added Elsa and Anna's home in Arendelle,
and Elsa's Ice Castle on the North Mountain. Of course you can hear Elsa singing Let it Go!
Eric's Castle
Ariel's Atlantica.
Off to Neverland. Peter Pan kept breaking down, but we finally got on after waiting almost and hour and a half. Luckily there was a really cute baby in line that kept our attention. One more fun thing to add to the fun things in line list. The Mom was glad we kept the baby entertained too.
The wildest ride in the West!
3 Cuties all calm...
Yeehaw...
Not so calm!
Yabba Dabba Doo!
Our Thanksgiving feast of Chili Fries and Chicken Fingers at the Golden Horseshoe. The silly Scrooge show they did was hilarious.
Off to Splash Mountain.
The Brier Patch is so Lovely at night.
So is Small World!
But the Castle beats all!
We split up so Sarah could go on the Nemo Submarines while Tyler took the other two on Space Mountain. Those 3 did the Single Rider line twice!
Goodbye on Main Street.
The Lego Store at Downtown Disney. That castle is super cute, and Adam liked the Ninjago village, you know if you've got $350 to spare...why not?
So Cute.
Lego Santa
After Wednesday and Thursday at the parks, we spent Black Friday with Aunt Luise and Uncle Van. We pretended it was Thanksgiving again and made a special feast.
First Aunt Luise taught us how to make the name cards.
Tyler got his traditional nap. Most people take the nap after the turkey, but Tyler prefers the before and after method.
Uncle Tory stopped by to bring Tyler some flippers that didn't fit him right.
We had a nice visit with Tory and Dora.
Finally the feast.
The stuffed belly after party, time to "veg".
Saturday we watched Coco with Aunt Luise at the Theater. It was a very touching little story.
I love taking a picture of these lovebirds as we drive away.
We love them so much.
We are sure grateful for a wonderful family.
A little shopping on the way home...
and it's back to school and real life. I love the weather on days like this where Adam can play at the field where we pick up Rachel and it's a fun afternoon outside.
Here's Rachel. This girl is ready for...
Braces! Today the Spacers, next week the real deal!
