We are starting March with normal activities, like a nice little family trip to the grocery store. We've been kite flying, working on Country Reports, having Girl's Camp Kick-off, and special time.
We decided Adam was growing out of his little white table and ready for a real desk. You can see how proud he was of helping me find one on Craigslist and pick it up.
He loves his new desk, and loves reorganizing all the drawers. We had to do some minor repairs on some of them, but it was a great find.
We got a little sick, so we've been watching documentaries...about germs and the science behind how airplanes fly. We also had a Teletubbies marathon! They are so weirdly captivating.
Adam isn't sick, so he entertains the girls...
and gets snuggled.
Sarah and Tyler went to the Daddy Daughter look alike mutual activity and won the prize for looking the most alike. They were so cute!
Adam's long awaited birthday came and he was a happy little boy.
Erasers.
Cheetos.
The Coast Guard Lego set from Mom and Dad.
Remote Control boat from Grandma and Grandpa Cole.
Golf Clubs from Grandpa Gary and Grandma Shirley.
Here is a happy 6 year old going to sleep by his big kid desk.
Happy sisters in their pink room.
The kids building their Lego's together.
Adam went to his friend Ethan's house for a little bit and Ethan gave him some cool paper airplanes.
Rachel's buddy Benton.
Special Daddy golf time.
They practiced Adam's swing at the park with foam balls.
Four!
That night our neighbor came and brought me some random Lego's her son was done with. Tyler and I sat at the kitchen table making little cars and jets for a long time. Fun date:)
The moon taken by Sarah, who notices everything and loves to step outside in the evenings and admire the moon. She says it helps her feel closer to Heavenly Father.
The moon inspired her to paint.
We always celebrate St. Patrick's Day because it celebrates missionary work and the day Tyler and I met. We always make these shamrock cookies and this year made some for the missionaries. They even had little tootsie roll missionary tags. We gave them the story of St. Patrick too, so they would know the missionary story of St. Patrick's Day.
Frozen came out on DVD and we are a lucky family! This is our "Happy Anniversary of Mom and Dad Meeting" gift.
Time for the ward campout. We just split our ward in half and got half of a different ward, so this is going to be a great time to get to know our new ward members.
Adam is packed way in advance of course.
We had the Relief Society Bread activity Thursday night before the campout on Friday. These lime rolls were delicious, and I hate cinnamon rolls! It was fun baking with all the new sisters.
Away to the mountains, 15 minutes away.
We had a great campout, but I woke up with two extra kids in my tent.
William and Ethan knew where the party was and joined in on our steam roller tradition.
I love this man.
Breakfast.
Ready for our big hike.
Sarah and Meg had to attend the upper division's recitals for MYS, so we had to unpack quickly, shower, and get out to Mesa. There were some amazing players that really inspired them. Sarah likes Hannah Goldstick, and we joked she could use a more violin-y name too...like Sarah Silverbow.
There was an art festival going on at the Mesa Arts Center, so we took a little time after the recital to see everything.
They had made all sorts of trash into a beautiful recycled art garden.
These are old programs, so cool!
Sunday night we had a Bishop Youth Fireside at our house, good thing we unpacked from the campout quickly and had the house in order. Monday it was beautiful park weather and now that everyone is well we could go park hunting!
Rachel finished a math workbook!
Sarah and Meg off to Orchestra, our Thursday afternoon scene...
We happened to be starving this day and needed some food while we waited for Meg and Sarah.
Two buddies playing in the playplace.
Adam getting a haircut, and too many kisses.
After the haircut we went to the temple. Sarah did baptisms and we visited the Christus.
Cute Rachel.
It's not often you see a sign saying, "Pleasure that way for $5.99!"
Wow pleasure is cheap nowadays...and misunderstood.
I think this is real pleasure right here.
Delightful, beautiful practicing.
Adam and Soriah holding a chick and a duck while we visit teach at Farrah's.
A little homeschool picnic, as we work on memorizing state capitals outside. Being outside always makes learning more fun. That is real pleasure, being with my kids, doing our normal daily stuff. I don't always get to be home doing daily stuff lately. This has been a month full of Relief Society meetings and visits as we try to get to know all the new half of our ward. Tyler has also been out visiting almost every night, so our kids have been on their own a lot. I've also had a lot of camp meetings to prepare the YCL's for camp this July. So much to do for so many people, but my most important work is right here!
