This little holiday always sneaks up on us. Tyler doesn't have to work as it is a state holiday, but he still had class in the middle of the day.
We used the morning to put in sod. The kids are loving the beautiful lawn as opposed to the mud and weeds we've been working in to prepare for the sod over the past months.
They love making sure it gets enough water.
Then we learned a little Janeen Brady song for music time the next day.
Columbus sailed cross the Atlantic
In fourteen ninety and two
His heart filled with fearful emotion
As he met each wave in the ocean
But he held his course with devotion
And he proved to the world what he knew.
