We got home from Disneyland and had only Monday to prepare for Girl's Camp. We picked up supplies at Walmart and, the bike in this picture Adam won in a drawing on the last day of school. We took it to the store to make sure it was the best choice and size for him before riding it. I wanted to make sure he and Tyler could have fun bike rides while I was away with Rachel.
He got some major "tacos" during that shopping trip. Haha, they are pinatas.
Girl's Camp was exhausting and beautiful and very fun. Rachel and I had our first experience going together and I got to drive her and her friends.
We all were given rocks to carry up the mountain and then
we were encouraged to leave our rocks or "burdens" at Jesus' feet.
We were given time to write about what burdens we are carrying in our lives that we would be laying at the Savior's feet, then encouraged to carry back down someone else's because we should bear one another's burdens.
Headed to the lake with my 2nd year girls.
Funny girls.
Rachel's 3rd year buddies.
2nd years
Back at home normal life goes on. Adam I spraying for bugs.
Our friends the Lozanos got sealed in the temple and sealed to their children.
This sign cracked us up on the way to the temple.
We love the sayings at this neighborhood church.
The week after camp we accompanied Tyler to his law conference in Phoenix. The last day we couch shopped at Ikea.
And went to the Phoenix Temple.
We love it there.
Back home we saw a funny sight of beer cans strewn across the street spraying in all directions.
We began our summer clean-out and found some old treasures. These were given to us by the Lee family when they moved to China.
The kids played dress up.
It has been a long time, and some of the costumes were a bit snug.
Rachel and Sarah decided to have a luau.
Sarah celebrated her birthday a month early.
Because she wanted a ukulele and wouldn't have time to enjoy learning to play it otherwise. School started the day after her real birthday and with homework there would be no time for fun pursuits.
Sister Butt got married! The girls' young women leader and one of the young men leaders fell in love.
We are so happy for them!
On the Fourth of July we tried taking some selfie family pictures.
This is how we felt about it.
More funny church sayings.
More old memories.
Playing in the yard enjoying our summer, 8 weeks goes by too quickly.
I helped a friend organize her garage and was delighted to see these old stickers. They brought back so many happy memories of first grade when my mom bought the same set to encourage us in our chore chart.
Happy birthday to Mom. Tyler bought me a bunch of chocolate bars to enjoy. He knows the way to my heart.
And shoes...
Tyler is trying to switch over to contacts, but cannot put them in by himself.
He relies on Rachel every morning. They are quite a sight.
Sarah's real birthday came and she blew up all the "Aunt Luise" balloons she has been saving for years.
Adam enjoying his summer, reading with his "friends."
The good morning sight that greets me this summer.
Seriously, these guys crack me up, I love their sign!
It is here already! The first day of school! Rachel gets two more weeks of summer, all alone with mom, the lucky duck.
After one and a half days of school, we are off on vacation to Bekah's wedding.
We got there in time to help set up the night before.
The fit sisters worked out in the morning.
Grandpa love.
