Grandpa asked for help with his foreign coin collection. We had a lot of fun hearing stories of far off places while sorting and labeling. He even shared some of his coins with us.

Off go the honeymooners!
We went to the mall to get Rachel's ears pierced.
Just right. She chose silver studs and silver Eiffel Towers for later.
The kids had sibling time at Grandma's house...
while the adults went out to eat for Tyler's birthday.
They also surprised Tyler with a German Chocolate cake.
The girls enjoyed a musical evening.
The boys watched sports.
Pajama Party! It's fun to hep Grandma get a massaged before bedtime.
Church the next morning and then we had to go home.
The next week Tyler had a law conference in Phoenix. It felt funny to be coming back "home" as guests and staying in a hotel. We were given a corner unit that had tons of extra space. It was the wheelchair accessible unit. I was a little disappointed because we were supposed to have 2 queen beds, but only got 1 king, but at least we had a lot of space for those who had to sleep on the floor.

Giant accessible bathroom.
Enjoying the hot tub with Tyler's new co-workers.
The next day we had to check out, and had no place to be all day while Tyler was in the conference.
So I took the kids to our beloved Phoenix temple.
I stayed outside with Adam while the girls did baptisms together.
Then we went by our house to make a memory and see if everything looks good for prospective renters. Please rent our house! It is so expensive paying for a mortgage and rent.

Then we visited friends we love.We were suddenly notified that there was room for Rachel at the Academy. She began school the next day. This is her first day of school. We decided to start her in 6th grade because we can keep her home longer and she'll be one of the first to drive. She wants so badly to serve a mission and this will give her only 6 months between graduation and a mission.
We scrambled to buy the school shirts so she would be ready for school. Adam's were $4 each. Rachel's were $26! Yikes! We are sad to end homeschool, but we frankly can't afford it anymore. Not that homeschool is even super expensive! It's not the way we do it, we just have to cut back that much.
Sarah's classes are already paid for so she is continuing on with her 9th grade BYU high school curriculum. She separated out pea protein from peas today.
It's good to know with all the change happening in our lives that some things never change. We still play and enjoy each other and are together! That is most important.
Adam and Tyler doing tennis drills on the back patio.
Young Women's activity making wedding dresses, Sarah was a great model.
Rachel's team won.

I made the traditional family baptism cake to serve as refreshment.
My friend Lisa had a surprise birthday party, we were assigned to bring a cake. She is a chocolate lover.
Adam got this mustache at church. Rachel loves him so much and he endures all the love patiently.
That is one handsome man.
The great homeschool bean counting project of 9th grade biology. It is a pain!
Sarah has had to start over multiple times, but she sticks with it.
Sometimes she gets help.
We are slowly getting every room painted. I can't handle yucky walls. The owner of the home was thrilled to have us paint the house and paid for the supplies.
Sarah went to her first Kingman stake dance. She had to dress up like a Disney character. She is Olaf.
Adam being diligent practicing piano.
His primary substitute gave him some simplified primary music to play.
As you can see our house is a little jumbled during painting.
But we are managing.
