Tired, and for good reason

Tyler and I have been exhausted from so much going on this summer. The legislature happenings had Tyler working non-stop day and night (sometimes until 3 am!) until the fourth of July weekend. Then the governor called a special session that started on Monday, so it continues! At least we are allowed to take a week of vacation now that it isn't regular session. We were so naughty to sneak one day off to run to Disneyland at the end of May before session was over. So finally summer is starting, just as school is about to begin, what a jip. Next week before we head to Utah: Sarah's birthday party, our very last dance class, visiting teaching, playing with friends, a temple trip, and the homeschool convention. Yes all my weeks have been like this, which is why we're so tired, especially since Tyler has to keep working even when he is home, so we just really haven't had a chance to exhale.

Here are some of the fun pictures we've captured. I have enjoyed my little buddies doing summer activities with me.

Yard work. The girls have enjoyed pulling weeds now that they earn 25 cents per bucket.

Adam was a little crazy with the weeds.

I can't believe this bean plant in the red cup from inside got dwarfed by the one we planted outside in 110 degree weather.

Library Day. This flamanco dancer was neat, we also like the reptile man, but didn't get pictures of him and his awsome pets.

Sarah and Rachel got to be part of the show, Sarah loved dancing with the Spanish fan, Rachel got to make music with the castinets.

Summer School. We read Charlie and the Chocolate factory last week and here we were learning about insects--so of course the girls needed antennae.

Birthday Parties. This means shopping! Adam quickly found his way out of the Barbie isle and into the Boy isle, I was so proud. He went straight for the tools. What a little man!

Park Days

Cooking and baking. Here is my little helper Adam, he kept taking bites from the raw potato slices saying, "MMM!" He's a wierd eater.

Dr. Appointments

Hello Butterball, here we are lubing Adam in Olive Oil hoping to help his skin, we'll try anything for his eczema! This one was Grandma Cole's suggestion.

and of course play time.
